There are generally three levels of service CPA’s can provide in connection with financial statements:  Audit, Review and Compilation.  In terms of the amount of assurance a user of the financial statements can place on the financial statements which are reported on by the CPA, the Audit provides the most assurance and the Compilation provides the least assurance.
