Review reports are generally used when required by lending
institutions, when owners or management want more assurance than would be
provided with a Compilation and sometimes in connection with the purchase
or sale of a business. Reviews
involve discussions with personnel as well as analysis of data.
The Financial Statement Review Report may include several
paragraphs, including: A review consists principally of inquiries of
Company personnel and analytical procedures applied to financial data.
It is substantially less in scope than an audit in accordance with
generally accepted auditing standards, the objective of which is the
expression of an opinion regarding the financial statements taken as a
whole. Accordingly, we do not
express such an opinion.
